The Open Road Less than a week and its back to the open road again. Houston to Charlotte is listed as just over 1000 miles which will take the number 1 spot for distance traveled. Its also listed at 15 hours which is a load of crap cause thats if I average 68 miles the entire way. Something tells me I'm gonna have to stop for gas, bathroom, and there just might be traffic. I'm thinking 20 hours! How exciting is that?
In a related matter, I was reading up on Sleep Depreivation and Lucid Dreaming (again I know) and it had to go and say people who stay up for 20 hours are high risk drivers so of course that thought is gonna be in the back of my mind the whole drive now. Juke box 7 is almost done though, and I've got some other random music that should keep me moving.
On the subject of Lucid Dreaming though, I had a lucid dream last night. Well this morning I guess, but it was pretty crazy. I've never had one where I stayed in it for awhile and this one seemed really long. Towards the end I lost it though and forgot I was dreaming. It was so wierd. One second I could freakin jump like 200 feet in the air, float, move stuff with my mind and then all of a sudden I lost it and doors wouldn't open for me. I'd try and run from monsters and my legs wouldn't work and that crap. It was crazy!
and to make sure it doesn't get buried...

"Nowhere" Texas So the past few days I've kinda disappeared. For Xmas, my grandparents and I drove out to what I'm calling "nowhere" Texas because I'm not quite sure its even part of a city. After we past through Austin it was a little further out. I knew we were getting close when I lost all Radio Channels. I think maybe 1 was coming through, but otherwise it was nothing. Very strange to hit seek on the stereo and see it just loop over itself a few times.
Anyways, we get there and get settle in. The house was amazing. Can't really explain it much better than that. I was staying in the downstairs Appt which had its own kitchen, living room, bathroom, and bedroom. Other than settle in we didn't really do much else on this night.
The next day I went out towards San Antonio with my Uncle to drop off my little cousins with their Mom (my big cousin) who I havn't seen in like 8 years. On the way back we detoured over to Enchanted Rock. I went on a field trip there when I was in like 8th grade so it was neat seeing it again. We didn't climb it cause it was raining and we didn't have the time, but I got some good pictures of it. Once again not really anything going on that night either. I had one of those life questioning moments of "what am I doing" while I was laying in bed that night though.
Then Xmas day I went out and took a tour of my uncle's Vinyards and then the Winary. Its not his winary but its where his grapes go. That was really interesting. Got to see how the whole process goes. Also got to take a bottle. Then later on we went to the Colorado Bend State Park. It was scenic. Had a nice little river flowing next to some descently high cliffs. Throughout the day I got the necessary Texas pictures. Cows, donkeys, cacti, oil pumps, etc. Funny how I fight for how non-country Texas is but I took the pictures that go against my arguement, but they're fun pictures.
We drove back home that night and I opened my second Xmas gift of the day and then went to sleep.

Tunnel Vision 3 So I spontaneously mixed Tunnel Vision 3 the other night. Just a recap the Tunnel Visions are my personal tribute mixes to the Tunnel Trance Force series of Trance cds which are freakin amazing. I recently completed my collection of the Tunnel Trance Amercica's and felt it fitting to cap it off with a 3rd installment to Tunnel Vision.
Tunnel Vision 3 came out incredible. It came out so well I might make Tunnel Vision 4 before I leave Houston...

I'm either a long way from home or I'm already here. I was laying in my bed today watching Animaniacs thinking about how 8-10 years ago was the last time I watched Animaniacs in Houston. 8 Years. I hardly remember anything about Houston. The things I do remember have changed except for a few. Its so wierd being back, but so rewarding. Everyday driving around I see something else I remember like a gas station or dept store or something and it brings back childhood memories. On top of that hanging out with friends I havn't seen since I left is just crazy.
One of the wierdsest things about being here is the lack of time. Dates mean nothing to me. Days mean nothing to me. I don't miss Cedar Point so I'm not going crazy in anticipation for January. Its stressfree 100%.
Side Topic. Houston. I've done a lot of traveling and been to a lof of cities, but Houston is definatly the wierdest. The interstates are just wacko. Instead of having on and off ramps they have feeder streets. Its just an extra lane on the road thats only there the distance between one "off-ramp" and the next "on ramp". The thing is though is the people exiting the Interstate have the right of way on the feeder so if your trying to hop on the interstate you have to like sneak in between exiting cars.
Continueing, The roads on either side of the interstate are one way. Yeah I should of said that earlier cause it makes the feeders make more sense but whatever. Whenever you come up to a light at an underpass the intersections on both sides seem to be coordinated. if that makes sense. The really wierd thing though is the U-turn lane. Say you just exited the interstate and needed to go down a street on the opposite side of the freeway that doesn't have an underpass. Then there's a U-turn lane. I can't even explain the complexity of the intersctions at underpasses. Let me try anyways!...
Ok so you pull up to a light at an underpass lets say going N-bound. There's the U-turn lane, a left turn lane, and left turn/foward lane, maybe 2 more foward lanes, and a right turn lane. So on this little road by the interstate you have 6 freakin lanes!! Ok so the U-turn lane doesn't have a light. Its like a little before the intersection, it just has to yield to S-Bound traffic on the other side of the interstate.... You know what I'm gonna draw it in paint.....
Ok, so beyond all that since that makes the inner loop in Houston extremely accessible it makes for high speed chaos!!! There's 3 loops in Houston and about 2-3 interstates directly interecting all of them. Its madness! High speed madness! Since the Feeders only there usually for the short time between the offramp and onramp portions it makes for tons of lane changes on the roads, and it works in reverse too. The on ramps shortly exit after the next overpass so You have to force your way over while people are trying to exit. On top of that every 5-10 miles there's a major interstate changover. Its insanity!
Also I never knew this when I was younger but apperently there's no zoning laws. Or really loose zoning laws. So you can have porn theatres next to preschools and stuff. It makes the city really diverse. One of the biggest buildings in Houston stands all by its lonesome like 7 miles from downtown. Its really wierd seeing such a big building just by itself. There's a mall next to it but nothing over like 100 feet.
The city is strange...I love it.
Also its hit 80 like everyday this week. I'd brag more about it but its really kinda too hot!

Farewell Thought I'd take the time to write my farewell to the internet... at least for a little while.
My current plan is to be in housing in the next 3 days. As far as saving money goes its the wisest course of action. Unfortunately during Halloweekends its hard to bank any money cause the 40 hour paychecks give you just enough to afford bills, so this will be a good way to put towards my car.
At the end of the season is another story. I have a few options on what I'm gonna do. I havn't thought about it too much cause it is another 2 months away, but still. After the off season its back to housing. How depressing now that I think about it...
Oh well. Not that I was around on the internet too much anyways, but you won't find me on it like at all for the next few months. If you need me call the cell phone.
